In order to become a member of the Colegio Oficial de Físicos (Spanish Professional Association of Physicists) it is mandatory to submit the following documents:
1. Official university certificate of completion of a degree in Physics or attested copy of it.
In the event the degree certificate cannot be submitted because of it being still in process of issuing, it is mandatory to submit both an attested photocopy of its request form and an official university certification of completion of all the subjects (machine records of subjects and credits without official stamp and signature are not valid). It is possible to attest the photocopies in the Colegio when showing the original documents.

4. Photocopy of National Identity Card or Passport.

5. In the event you are unemployed and want to benefit from the specific fee you must submit a certificate issued by an official Job Service or attested photocopy of the unemployment card. The documents must be up to date. It is possible to attest the photocopies in the Colegio when showing the original documents.

6. Bank receipt for payment of fees: registration fee and six-monthly fee*.

In order to register in the Registry of Professional Societies of the Colegio Oficial de Físicos (Spanish Professional Association of Physicists) it is mandatory to submit the following documents:
| 1. Photocopy of CIF of Professional Society. |
| 2. Forms completed: Professional Society Membership form and Professional Society Bank Information form. Forms available here: Formularios |
3. Society registration certificate issued by:
· The
Mercantile Registry
who will communicate the registration to the Registry of Professional Societies.
· The applicant.

*REGISTRATION AND FIRST FEE:
In order to formalize the registration, it is mandatory to make payment of the registration fee and of the first six-monthly fee (the complete payment of the six-monthly fee is mandatory irrespective of the date the enrolment is done).
The aforementioned payment will be made, by deposit or transfer, in the bank account of Caja Madrid: 2038-1053-93-6000-611968, addressed to the Colegio Oficial de Físicos (Spanish Professional Association of Physicists) and stating: name, surname, and fee (first or second semester).
The first payment may also be made in cash in the Colegio Oficial de Físicos (Spanish Professional Association of Physicists).
PAYMENT OF SUBSEQUENT FEES:
The subsequent six-monthly fees will be paid through the payment order that the Colegio will issue in the established periods. Accordingly it is mandatory for members to provide their bank information.
REDUCED FEES:
Members with reduced fees shall provide the necessary documents which justify the reduction.
PRESENTATION OF DOCUMENTS:
These documents can be presented at the headquarters of the Colegio Oficial de Físicos (Spanish Professional Association of Physicists) (please see directions and office hours here) or they can be sent by postal mail. In this case all the photocopies shall be attested (except the identity card photocopy).
For those who do not live in Madrid, other than postal mail you can contact the different Delegations in order to formalize the registration. Their postal addresses can be requested in the Colegio or by visiting the website (see delegations).
MEMBERSHIP RESIGNATION:
In order to discontinue one's membership it is mandatory to send a writen application stating the wish to resign and send back the membership card. If the card is not owned anymore (because of theft, loss or other reasons) it must be so stated in the letter.
